How entry usually works: Selection is primarily ATAR-based. Units 3 and 4 English is the usual prerequisite. Accredited social work degrees also require a police check, a working with children check and around 1,000 hours of supervised field placement, and only an AASW-accredited degree leads to practising as a social worker.
